  Upon returning the handle to the pump and running back inside the store, I informed the clerks what had just taken place, confirming that the pump had not registered any fuel being dispensed and that I was not charged, thus showing the pump was faulty. I then rushed to the washroom to wash the gasoline from my hands and clothes.

  The clerk stared at me and refused to say a word. I left the store, pulled my vehicle onto the safety of the street and contacted FasGas Corporate. At no point did I witness any employee attempt to place the pump out of service.

  I immediately returned the nozzle to the pump and returned to the store to pay for the approximately $21 of fuel I did not ask for. Before leaving, I reiterated the seriousness of what took place, pointing out that had the fuel spilled onto a motorcycle, it likely would have ignited due to its hot engine.

  Upon lifting the handle of the pump, approximately two litres of fuel inexplicably erupted from the end, spilling onto my hands and my clothes.

  Upon returning outside, I returned to find the clerk leaving my vehicle after having left the nozzle in my vehicle, fuelling it unattended. An action I did not authorize as I was intent on leaving and going elsewhere to buy gas.
